The Fusion of Music, Design+Fashion for One Fierce Event Benefitting the Houston Furniture Bank.
On May 5th, 2011- IIDA Houston City Center presents the 3rd annual Product Runway Remix Fashion Show at the Verizon Wireless Theatre, which will be benefitting The Furniture Bank of Houston, TX. Metrovelvet.com has the honor to be part of this event, as our Fashion Co-Editor Mr.G / Luis Soto, will be representing us as being one of the judges. This national event challenges the creative minds of Interior Designers to crate couture garments from the products they use in their everyday projects such as: Carpet, upholstery, acrylic, vinyl flooring, signage, tile and plastic laminate.
Over a hundred volunteers come together to make this event possible, all in order to raise funds for the Houston Furniture Bank. The Furniture Bank is a non-profit organization that serves to assist Houston area residents that lack basic furnishings. IIDA is a professional networking and education association that works to enhance the quality of life through excellence in interior design. The Houston City Center has the honor of providing this opportunity to the design Community and related industries to support The Furniture Bank and its worthy cause.
